National N-45 Knuckleboom Hydraulic Crane - 330270862677
This auction is for a used knuckle boom crane. It was made by National Crane. It is a model N-45 also known as a “Rapid Rascal”. There is a tag on the side that reads: Model: N-45Serial: 9930 The crane was mounted onto an older International two ton truck. The truck and bed are not included in this auction. The truck is junk! The boom is good! You are buying the knuckleboom only! I got the truck running so I could test out the boom and the boom works great. The boom has a set of outriggers. You pull a pin on each side and they manually slide out then you reinsert the pin. They hydraulically lower down to stabilize the truck. They work good and I did not see any leaks. They each have a shut off valve on the top of the outrigger so you can shut one off as you lower or raise the other one. That is also a safety to keep them from leaking down or up. The boom has two fixed length booms, an upper and a lower. The upper boom also has a hydraulic extension that reaches out an additional four feet. Then you also have three more extensions that manually pull out for a total of 28 feet, 10 inches of total reach. The amount that it will pick up is as follows: Lower boom only- 7700 lbs @ 6 feet, 6 inchesEnd of upper boom - 3600 lbs @ 12 feet, 5 inchesEnd of hydraulic extension - 2650 lbs @ 16 feet, 10 inches1st manual extension - 1800 lbs @ 20 feet, 10 inches2nd manual extension - 1350 lbs @ 24 feet, 10 inches3rd manual extension - 1000 lbs @ 28 feet, 10 inches There are control levers on both sides of the truck. The five levers do the following: 1. Outriggers down2. Rotation3. Lower boom up and down4. Upper boom up and down5. Upper boom hydraulic extension The boom is powered by a hydraulic pump hooked to the truck’s PTO. The truck is not included! You are buying the boom only! The pump is included with the boom. I will leave the boom mounted and hooked up in case anyone wants to come play with it before the auction ends. The boom is mounted to the frame of the truck with a set of four heavy bolts. I will unbolt it and have it ready to be picked up. The last two pictures show how handy it is to have a knuckleboom mounted on your truck when you need to change a tire on the front or on the back! The person in the drivers seat who I will not name, but who has been known to answer to the name of “NICK” is not included in the auction. He wants to turn the truck into a lowrider, but I won’t let him. If you absolutley, positively, will not take no for an answer, insist on buying the truck with the boom still attached, I will sell the truck and bed for an additional $1000.00 over the price of the boomto the highest bidder. It is junk! The radiator has a hole in it, the clutch slave cylinder leaks like sieve, none of the gauges or lights work, it does not have a battery, the tires are old and the thing is dirty all over. If you look in the dictionary under the word junk, it reads see this truck. You can also find this truck described in the dictionary under the words: Peach, Hooptie, Hotrod, Flivver, Binder, and Last Leg. Do not buy this truck thinking that it will start easily, that it is driveable, or that you can restore it. It is junk! No reserve! No local sales! Will sell here on Ebay to the highest bidder! Do not ask me to sell it early, or take less than the starting price. I will not end the auction for a local sale either. I can load it onto anything that you send to pick it up. Delivery for an additional fee is a possibility within 250 miles of Fulton, Mo, 65251. E-mail me for a quote. I have a neighbor kid that helps me on the farm that will deliver stuff sometimes. I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don’t come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don’t ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don’t do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
