This auction is for a used John Deere 7000 planter with no till coulters. I bought this from a farmer that bought it new and kept it shedded. He retired and is no longer farming. It is in very good condition and ready to be used. There is a plate on the planter that reads: Model: P7000Serial: 078477A The planter is a four row. It is currently set at 38 inches wide between the rows, but it can be narrowed or widened to fit other row widths as the units are mounted on a tool bar. The planter was last used to plant soybeans and it still is set up for planting them. I also got with the planter a set of corn units to allow you to also plant corn with it. I included a photo of me holding one of them. The planter also comes with extra sprockets so you can change the planting rates. It all is complete and in good working order. The planter shoes are double disc openers. They have a set of press wheels behind them to firm the soil around the seed. There is a set of good no till coulters mounted in front of the openers that are also in good condition. The planter has a set of boxes behind the seed boxes that are used to apply granular herbicide or insecticide at the same time as you plant the seed. They are also complete and look ready to be used. The tires are in good condition and hold air fine. They are size 7.60 - 15’s. The row markers are in excellent condition. They are straight and have not been wrapped around a tree before like most! They adjust up and down for different row widths. They hydraulically raise and lower and have a sequence valve so that when you raise the marker that is down, when you lower it after turning, the opposite one goes down. It all works well and the hydraulics are dry. I did not get a cylinder with the planter that you need to raise and lower the planter, but it just uses a simple 3 X 8 cylinder like you can get at any farm supply store or equipment dealer. The planter is 12 feet 2 inches wide, 12 feet, 10 inches front to back, and 8 1/2 feet tall (the markers). If you need it narrower for hauling on atrailer home, the tounge is designed to unbolt in the middle, which when removed makes it less than 8 feet from front to back. The tounge has a place on it where the farmer rubbed the tractor tires against it when he turned too sharp, it does not affect it in any way. You can tell from looking at the photos that the planter has been kept shedded and well greased. It is a nice planter. Check out my other auctions, in a few days when I get some photos taken, I will be listing a nice three point hitch rolling cultivator that was used with this planter in conventional tillage fields. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don’t come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds.
