John Deere planter seed corn hopper bin (2) w/ logo - 120328110571
Two John Deere seed hoppers off an old planter of some kind. I’m not into antique machinery, so I don’t know what sort. Both are in pretty nice shape. Clear stampings on the sheet steel lids, springs holding the lids on, logos on the sides, and both have the hinged bottom plates. One is missing the spring steel tab that holds that plate in place though. And what’s more, the little roller-spring arm on the bottom of one is still both rolly and springy! I would have expected both to be rusted immobile, but only one is actually immobile. The sheet steel is NOT rusted out anywhere on either of them. I think they’re just about as good as you could want for decades old machinery that likely sat in the weather year in and year out. Weight 17lbs. 3oz. Items ship from zip code 68512 in the U.S. Shipping costs quoted are to the continental states only, anywhere else will be more. Payment is expected within 10 days. Otherwise I reserve the right to file for non-paying bidder, and re-list the item. SHIPPING-USPS: If the shipping method is listed as USPS, then it does NOT automatically have either insurance OR a tracking number. Insurance is $1.65 per $50 of item value. Tracking numbers are 75 cents. If you need more than $50 insurance, either add the appropriate amount to your payment, or ask me to re-invoice you. I am NOT responsible for the time the post office takes to deliver the package. SHIPPING-”OTHER”: If the shipping is ‘Other’ then it is Fedex. Fedex automatically insures all packages for $100, and includes a tracking number. If you win an item for more than $100, you must tell me if you want more insurance, at which point I will send you a new quote. If the auction lists insurance is “optional” for $1.70, but the shipping method is “other”, you don’t need to pay the $1.65. That is only for USPS shipping. It is to hard to remember to remove that on the USPS auctions, so I just leave it there. SHIPPING-COMBINED: I always do my best to combine multiple wins to save on shipping. I make full use of USPS flat rate boxes wherever possible, and will only charge you for one box if I can fit multiple wins in the same box. If you win more than one auction I will send you a new quote with new shipping. Also, I am happy to hold items for you if you plan on buying many items from me over time, in order to combine their shipping. This is at my discretion, for buyers with dodgy or low feedback. Contact me for details. FOREIGN BIDDERS: For the customs paperwork hassle, Canadians are charged an extra $3. All other foreign buyers are charged an extra $5. I am happy to send you a quote during the auction if you want to know how much it will cost. Items are declared as “Other: ebay”. I will NOT mark them as ‘gift’. I DO NOT under-declare item value on the invoice. Do not ask. SHIPPING - PACKING: I start packing items the next day after the auction ends. I pack as much as I can in a day, but ebay is NOT my job. It will usually take me two days to pack and ship up to 40 items. If you have won a large and/or bulky item, then I will save it till later, after I have sent the stuff that is easier to pack. This is usually not later than Friday. It depends on whether I have the right size box, and appropriate padding material. So if you’ve won a large item, please have patience. I take packaging seriously. I know how fragile cast iron is. I use newspaper for most items, and packing peanuts only for very light items. Heavy items will be packaged using solid styrofoam blocks, as well as small boxes stuffed with newspaper. It is very rare for the items I pack to be broken, as my feedback should attest. I do not notify the winner of when a package is shipped, unless they ask me to, because I just don’t have time to notify everyone. PAYMENT: I prefer paypal, but am happy to accept checks and money orders. BE AWARE however, that I reserve the right to hold checks AND money orders AND cashiers checks for 10 days (5 days for USPS money orders, because I’m familiar with them). I may opt not to do this, depending on the dollar amount, and the winner’s feedback. For someone with lots of good feedback, I probably would not hold anything under $50, except possibly checks. But, this is at MY discression. I do this because my bank tells me that fraudulent money orders are on the rise. If you cannot handle this, please do not bid. If you *really* need the item sooner (for a birthday, or Christmas, etc) contact me and we’ll see what we can arrange. LOCAL PICKUP: Local pickup is fine if you are coming to my area. I can deliver within 100 miles or so of Lincoln, but of course there would be costs associated with that. If you would like me to hold the item until some future date when you will be coming by, that’s fine. I can hold it for pretty much as long as you like, though you still must pay within 10 days of auction end. Just tell me you want to do this, and I’ll re-invoice you, minus shipping. If the item is very large (like a piece of furniture) then I may be less flexible on the amount of time I will hold it. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
