For auction is atwo row John Deere planter. I build these planters in my spare time out of 6 row jd planters. These are planters that farmers used years ago. The farms have gotten bigger and the farmers have all gone to 12 and 16 row planters. So I have found a use for the old 6 row units. The units are the same. I just make them 3point mountable. John Deere is well known for their quaility equipment. I am a full time Kansas farmer. We farm about a 1000 acres so I have a little experience with planters and planting. The planters have been repainted and are field ready. It mounts to any tractor with a 3 point hitch cat.1. Planter could easily be adapted to cat. 2. Planter pulls easily. Seeding depth is adjustable. I have corn, milo, or bean plates on hand. I sell plates for $5 each with planter purchase. Some of the crops the owners manual says it will plant: Corn, sweet corn, popcorn, grain sorghum (milo), maize, soybeans, edible beans, onion seed, tomato seed, cantaloupes, cucumbers, beets and similiar sized seeds. Would plant many crops with optional plates available at your local John Deere dealer. Additional plates can also be found at www.lincolnagproducts.com. They run about $11 new. A blank plate could also be purchased to fit any seed wanted. Perfect tool for gardens, small fields, and wildlife food plots. Planter has new sprockets and chain. Rubber on pack/guage wheel is good. Planter also has seed trench covering blades. John Deere should carry most parts if needed and if they don’t have them, I do. Planter will fit on a full size pickup. Buyer can pick up (I can load) or use the freight calculator below to figure shipping cost and I will arrange shipping. If I ship add $20 for pallet and packaging. OR I can deliver myself for $2 per mile within 300 miles (no pallet needed). Buyer to pay within 5 days of auction end or before pickup. seeder
