Gereral Dig-R-Mobil model M550, new in 1997, 2″ ball hitch, bit is 12″ in diameter and 5′ long, bit detaches for transport, leave unit hitched to towing vehicle and drive over spot to auger, lower auger utilizing the hand brake to control the drop speed when digging to the desired depth then raise the bit using the wheel/pully system and on to the next hole. The bit raises very easily. Tower also has a tilt adjustment to allow vertical holes when augering on sloped ground. One long bit allows you to auger deep without having to stop and add extensions to the bit.
